BGE Enhances Blackstone Park for Manatee County with Infrastructure Improvements

BGE provided final design, permitting, and construction administration services for infrastructure upgrades at Blackstone Park in Manatee County. As a subconsultant to Fleischman and Garcia Architects and Planners (FGA), BGE ensured the project was completed on time and within budget.

Softball Field Dugout Replacements

The project included the removal and replacement of six existing dugouts with new structures featuring aluminum roofing/columns, fencing, benches, and trash receptacles. Additionally, concrete slabs and gated access were installed to improve security during non-operating hours.

New Soccer Concession and Restrooms

A 1,300-square-foot concession/restroom building was constructed on the north side of the soccer fields. The improvements included potable water and sanitary sewer connections, as well as drainage and grading enhancements to optimize park usability.

Additional Infrastructure Improvements

BGE designed and installed a new potable water system/master water meter and a new grinder pump station to serve the soccer building. Collaboration with Manatee County Public Works streamlined the permitting process and ensured compliance with utility design requirements.
