CapEx Central Drainage Tunnels & Pump Station
BGE designed two large-diameter tunnels beneath IH 35 and East Cesar Chavez Street in downtown Austin to alleviate flooding. The tunnels will convey stormwater to a pump station and discharge it into the Colorado River. This project is part of the larger IH 35 expansion.

Slaughter Lane
BGE provided engineering services for the Slaughter Lane Corridor Mobility Plan in south Austin. Our team proposed improvements to enhance traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and bicycle mobility. These improvements included traffic signal upgrades, sidewalk construction, bike lane additions, and transit facility enhancements.

Integrated Pipeline Project
BGE designed a 20.8-mile, 84-inch diameter raw water transmission main for the Tarrant Regional Water District and Dallas Water Utilities to address growing water demands in the region.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) TRACON Drainage Improvements
The Austin airport TRACON building flooded in 2015, leading to a $2M drainage upgrade for 100-year flood protection.

Elyson
A 3,600-acre master-planned community, Elyson earned the 2017 ACEC Texas Silver Medal in Water Resources – Storm Water Management Category.

Big Fossil Creek Parallel Relief Sanitary Sewer Main
Phase II of a three-phase plan involved installing a new 9,157-foot, 66-inch sanitary sewer line and replacing two outdated meter stations. This upgrade improved sewer capacity and accessibility, benefiting Haltom City, North Richland Hills, and Fort Worth. The project was funded by the Texas Water Development Board and coordinated with multiple agencies.

Texas Heritage Parkway
To facilitate flow and eliminate head-on collisions, this four-lane boulevard exclusively features roundabouts at nine intersections.

Feathercrest Lift Station
The SAWS Feathercreast project involved the construction of a new lift station and extensive sewer line and pipeline network to alleviate capacity issues in northeast San Antonio, overcoming significant construction challenges.

City of Houston Asset Management
BGE assessed over 3,000 groundwater assets in Houston, prioritizing critical infrastructure for replacement and maintenance to ensure reliable water supply over the next 20 years.

City of Houston Southeast Water Purification Plant
BGE successfully rehabilitated Houston’s Southeast Water Purification Plant, increasing its efficiency and capacity to meet the city’s growing water needs.

Multiple Sewershed Package 10B
The SAWS Multiple Sewershed Package 10B Project involved the replacement of over 4,000 linear feet of sewer lines in San Antonio, utilizing trenchless methods to minimize disruptions and coordinate with various agencies for necessary permits.

Loop 410 Elevated Storage Tank
BGE designed a 1.5 million-gallon composite elevated storage tank, including site evaluation, pipeline routing, mechanical/electrical systems, and demolition of the existing steel tank.
