To earn it, our safety program is supported by online safety management systems, including ISNetworld, PICS, and BROWZ. Program members lead job safety analyses, and report on OSHA recordable injuries, near-miss incidents, and internal programs.

CapEx Central Drainage Tunnels & Pump Station

BGE designed two large-diameter tunnels beneath IH 35 and East Cesar Chavez Street in downtown Austin to alleviate flooding. The tunnels will convey stormwater to a pump station and discharge it into the Colorado River. This project is part of the larger IH 35 expansion.

BGE helped develop a 105-acre industrial site. BGE maximized buildable areas, designed buildings and parking, and coordinated utility location verification to ensure accurate construction.

Lake Lavon/FM 3286 Reconstruction

BGE helped reconstruct and widen FM 3286 in Collin County, Texas. A key challenge was surveying bridges over Lavon Lake. BGE used innovative lidar techniques to accurately capture bridge data without disrupting traffic, enabling the creation of precise 3D models for the design process.
