BGE, Inc. is proud to announce that Chad Ostrander, PE, has earned the 2021 Dallas Chapter American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Young Engineer of the Year Award. Ostrander is currently a project manager in the North Texas Transportation Systems department, working on intersection and traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking design, transportation planning and more.
He has been a member of the Dallas Chapter ASCE for nearly seven years and has worked in various capacities for the organization, including newsletter editor and fundraising chair. He also assisted with creating and editing content for virtual meetings to help accommodate the chapter during the initial COVID-19 outbreak, which the chapter was recognized for nationally. He is humbled by this recognition and appreciative of those he worked with along the way.
“I am honored to receive this award. I am in the company of some amazing engineers – like the late Anthony Luce, who received the award last year, and the current ASCE branch president who also received this award in 2019,” Ostrander said. “I am also lucky to get to work with some amazing young engineers in BGE and ASCE, so to be recognized for my work with and for ASCE is truly an accomplishment.”
